A generous donator, one whom desires to remain anonymous, has assured at his own expense the printing of 5000 copies of this brochure. These costs have been reduced to a strict minimum thanks to the generosity of the printer who wants to help, within the measure of his means, those obedient to a noble conviction and with total disinterest, have sacrificed, at one time, other money to popularize the beautiful work of Rab Miletski.

For those of our readers who desire to join to this "mitzva", be assured that the donations they want to make do good with this intention- just when they offer the present brochure- the donations that profit no one but the unique service of covering the costs printing other works inspired by the same ideal.

Our donors will have contributed to diffuse the costs and which will better serve the cause of Judaism in religious terms.

The present brochure is offered to you free of charge. Lend it to your friends who will not be able to procure it. Assure of its diffusion in your party. You will be helping us in our task to bring our lost brothers and sisters back to the religion of our ancestors, this religion which for centuries, has been an object of admiration for so many illustrious skills for it's beauty, it's logic and its high morale, without speaking of its historical value as the undissolvable link that connects the Jewish people who have dispersed around the world.

In these critical times of our national history, this union can be stronger and more brotherly than ever, and so allow

a satisfactory solution to the distressing "Jewish problem" which, by not understanding the testified to our lost, actually reaches their acute paroxysm.

A lone word,

The French version that I have had the honor of presenting in public of the brochure of Rab Ruben Miletski does not pretend to reflect both the form and sprit of this beautiful work. It was last written in Hebrew, our dear language, in a perfect and clear style, immaculate, with great presence of mind, of biblical citations.

I know that the first work of a translator is to give the version that is faithfully copied from the original text. But it seems to me more important, for the need of the cause, to give to the argument and the exposing of the author an allure more conform to the habits of the French language.
